Resistance and Liberation is a multiplayer World War II Half-Life 2 first-person shooter modification that tries to be as realistic as possible, while still being enjoyable to play. The mod offers you the chance to play as either American or German on very large (to source terms) maps.
The game is based on capturing and holding objectives, such as buildings and trenches. Resistance and Liberation features 'progressive spawning'; a system that automatically changes the place where players spawn, depending on the objectives assigned to them. The mod features ironsights, free-aim and a 3D voice chat for communication but has no HUD or death messages nor scoreboard.
Resistance and Liberation Open Beta 1.6 has 7 official maps.
